Terms & Conditions

§ 1 Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed with us via our online shop by consumers (§ 13 BGB) and businesses (§ 14 BGB). The version in force at the time of the order applies. The contract language is German.

§ 2 Contracting party & conclusion of contract

The purchase contract is concluded with Kompass Sport GmbH, Hauptstr. 7, 79591 Eimeldingen, Germany (brand "Kompass Fliegenfischen").

The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer but a non-binding invitation to order. By clicking the "order with obligation to pay" button at checkout, you submit a binding offer to purchase the goods in your cart. We confirm receipt of your order automatically by email immediately after it is submitted; this confirmation of receipt does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer. The contract is concluded only when we accept your order by a separate order confirmation or by dispatching the goods. We store the contract text; your order details and these GTC are sent to you by email.

§ 3 Prices & shipping costs

All prices include statutory VAT plus shipping. See Shipping & Payment.

§ 4 Payment

The payment methods shown at checkout are available to you, currently credit card (VISA, Mastercard), PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and SEPA direct debit. The purchase price is due for payment upon conclusion of the contract, unless otherwise agreed with the respective payment service.

§ 5 Delivery

We deliver within Germany and to selected EU countries. Delivery times and shipping costs are shown on the Shipping & Payment page and in the respective product and order overview. Where goods are shipped to a consumer, the risk of accidental loss or deterioration of the goods passes to you only upon handover. For businesses, the risk passes upon handover to the carrier (§ 447 BGB).

§ 6 Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a right of withdrawal. See the Withdrawal Policy.

§ 7 Retention of title

The delivered goods remain our property until payment has been made in full.

§ 8 Warranty

The statutory liability for defects (§§ 434 ff. BGB) applies. Your rights as a consumer in respect of defective goods are governed by the statutory provisions; these GTC do not limit those rights.

§ 9 Dispute resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. Our email address can be found in the Legal Notice. We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
