Size Guide
Our sizes are product-specific. These charts help you find the right code for your product.
⚠︎ [PLACEHOLDER] The measurements below are example values. Replace with official manufacturer data (Patagonia, Guideline, JMC, Orvis) before going live.
Waders & apparel
The codes combine fit and size (e.g. XMXS, XFXS, MRM, LRL). When in doubt, measure — between two sizes we recommend the larger.
| Code | Height | Chest | Waist | Shoe size (EU) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| XMXS | 168–174 | 88–94 | 76–82 | 40–41 |
| XFXS | 160–166 | 82–88 | 68–74 | 38–39 |
| MRM | 174–180 | 96–102 | 84–90 | 42–43 |
| LRL | 180–186 | 104–110 | 92–98 | 44–45 |
Rods — length & line weight
Rods are specified by length (in feet/inches, e.g. 9'0") and line weight (#5). A rule of thumb to get started:
| Line weight | Typical use | Rod length |
|---|---|---|
| #3–4 | Small streams, delicate dry fly | 7'6"–8'6" |
| #5–6 | All-round, trout & grayling | 9'0" |
| #7–8 | Big rivers, streamers, wind | 9'0"–9'6" |
Reels — line weight
Reels are matched to the rod and given in class ranges, e.g. #4/6, #6/8, #8/10. Choose the reel to match your rod's line weight.
